Christenings
We love to
christen babies and we do not make you go through preparation first! Normally
the services take place on the second and fourth Sundays of each month at 3:30
p.m.
Ring the Rectory to make an appointment to pick up a form at the
church one evening or come along to the short Wednesday morning communion held
at the Ascension in Larchcroft Road at 11:00 a.m. and collect a form afterwards.
Weddings
Whitton is one
of the best places for a wedding because it is not too big and is very colourful
and pretty. You do need to have a legal address in the parish but your parents'
address will usually suffice.
Ring the Rectory to arrange an apointment
at the church to book a date in the diary. We usually do this on a Wednesday
evening and require a £50 deposit when you book.
Funerals
Anybody living
in the parish is welcome to use the church for their funeral service or to ask
that the Rector at Whitton should take the service at the crematorium or public
cemetary.
We will do everything we can to accomodate your wishes and
help you through this difficult and stressful time. When you contact the
Undertaker ask for Whitton Church or for the Rector to take the service. He will
visit you to find out about the person who has died and to help you to put
together a suitable service according to your own ideas.
